Hebrew translation of the PreVias questionnaire for assessing vision in the preverbal stage

A structured clinical tool for assessing visual function in preverbal infants and toddlers.

For the first time in Israel, the PreVias questionnaire – a structured clinical tool for assessing visual function in infants and toddlers in the preverbal stage – has been translated into Hebrew.

The questionnaire was originally developed by a team of clinicians and researchers, and is designed to enable a systematic review of developmental indicators in the field of vision through direct observation and a questionnaire for parents. The tool assists in the early identification of difficulties in functional vision, and is intended to guide diagnostic decisions and therapeutic conceptualization.

  • The Hebrew translation was made with the approval of the authors
Clinically and linguistically adapted to the Israeli audience
Written in the masculine form for convenience, but intended for both boys and girls as a brother

The tool is suitable for use by:

  • Developmental neurologists
  • Vision rehabilitation teams and teachers
  • Occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech therapists
  • Multi-professional teams in child development institutes
